Councilmember Heather Brady

Heather is a 15 year resident of Keyport, purchasing her current home 10 years ago after living in the borough as a renter for 5 years. She and her husband were married in 2015 at Borough Hall by then-mayor Harry Aumack. Her daughter attended Keyport Central School and currently lives at home while planning for her own future. Further, Heather's father moved to Keyport when she was in middle school, so she spent much time with him around town and in Keyport Village until he passed in 2011.
Heather graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Physics, concentrating in Astronomy and Astrophysics, which contributed greatly to her analytical skills and knack for asking lots of questions. She has had a few different careers over the years since she graduated, including working in the pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging industry in both Quality Control and Validation Engineering functions for 13 years, running her own Massage and Bodywork business for about 5 years, and now, she currently works as a Freelance Digital/Virtual Event Producer, facilitating meetings both small and international.
When her daughter was in school, she was very active with the Central School Drama Club, serving as the Parent Coordinator for a few years. She helped out with PTO functions and has always been willing to lend a helping hand with any organization to ensure the children have the best experiences possible. Heather also volunteered weekly at the Keyport Senior Center for several years, providing mini Reiki sessions to interested attendees, which has been shown to promote overall health and well-being. She looks forward to continuing to build strong ties with the residents of Keyport and hopes to always best represent their ideals and interests in her role as councilmember.
