Local Emergency Planning Committee
The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), established in accordance Borough Code §3-76, assists the municipality in establishing the various local volunteer agencies needed to meet the requirements of all local emergency management activities in accordance with State laws, rules and regulations.
The Keyport LEPC is composed of not more than seven members, appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough Council, who hold office at the will and pleasure of the Council. The Emergency Management Coordinator is a member and serves as its chair.
